Responsibilities:
- Know and ask appropriate questions to gain a thorough understanding of a client’s company and website goals
- Conduct effective Competitive Analyses
- Conduct User Research- perform user goal and task analyses to build personas, scenarios, requirements, and test scripts
- Create sitemaps, wireframes and pageflows to illustrate recommendations, document complex applications and functionality, and ensure an effective user experience
- Understand Web technologies and trends, functional possibilities and constraints, and client admin needs to recommend the appropriate solutions within the scope of the project
- Consult with creative and technical teams
- Work with the developers and Interactive Producers to document technical specifications
- Create clickable prototypes
- Understand, apply, and promote usability standards and best practices
- Work with our internal team to continually refine and update our IA process
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 year work experience in Information architecture and/or user experience design
- Understanding of, and interest in, user-centric interactive design philosophies and methodologies
- Basic understanding of XML, database-driven and CMS driven websites
- Familiarity with current web development technologies and standards, including but not limited to: X(HTML), CSS, Javascript, AJAX and Flash
- Familiarity with Social Media tools and how to leverage them in appropriate ways for the clients is a plus
- Knowledge of architecture-related software- Adobe Illustrator, Axure, Visio, Adobe InDesign
- Attention to detail, driven, ability to work independently in a fast-paced, small firm environment
- Be qualified to work in the United States
- Be able to work on-site
- Possess good communication and customer service skills
